So.. this is my first tokidoki product, and I got it for ~$20 USD at Sephora.

It's the ever so adorable Robbery Palette.

Review now, pics later.

It was extremely cheap for me to get, colour pigmentation and staying ability were amazing.

Pros

• A little goes a long way, with primer, it lasted me 24 hours in 30+ degree heat and sleep.
• The colour pay-off is pretty intense.
• The 'candy cane' shade is my favourite - highlight, accentuate, wash - anything.
• The magnet is kick-ass.
• It's a housed in a collectable tin - simply remove the cardboard housing the palettes and bam - tin.
• Versatile, look wise. 

Cons

• Can be a little chalky and flaky when picking up product
• Needs to be blended properly or may appear streaky
• You occasionally get a large glitter particle
• The palettes are rather small, but since they are pigmented - this makes up for it. It just gets a little annoying when I want to swirl my brush and I hit the other shades accidently.. (I'm clumsy).
• Crap mirror - don't bother with it.

Neutral

• Palettes divided into 3 - personal preference
• All 3 blushes contain shimmer - I prefer matte blushers, myself.
• Only one matte eye shadow shade - 'Adios'

Each palette has a mirror 4 eye shadows and one blush.

Basic facial cleansing 101.

Good morning!


So, I finally found some inspiration for my first official blog post! It will be on, as the title suggests basic facial cleansing. :D
I was talking to a friend of mine and he attempted to wash his face, only to get it in his eyes. So.. I guess I may as well just blog about this, if anything. So here goes.


First of all, there are so many cleaners on the market... so much so, that even I own quite a few and it's clogging up my bathroom space. =(


Regardless, make sure you choose a cleanser that suits your skin type.
Since this post is about how to wash your face, I won't be going into details about how to select the right cleanser for your skin type. Because quite frankly, it will be an excruciatingly long post - which I will do if I ever amass enough followers and, requests.

• To start off with, pull your hair back with a headband or hair tie.
• Make sure your hands are clean.
• Dispense a small amount of your cleanser - I normally use an AUD 5c coin size (which is more than generous enough for my face), and, honestly it really depends on the cleanser. Certain cleansers seem to lather/foam up enough with a small amount, whilst others require a fair bit to be able to cleanse your face efficiently.
• Wet your face with lukewarm/cool water.
• 'Warm' up the cleanser by rubbing it between your hands slightly, just so that it lathers up a little (should your cleanser foam).
• Apply the cleanser to your face.
• Using your fingertips, massage all over your face with circular motions for at least 20 seconds. Remember to focus on the T-zone (forehead, follow down to nose and chin) as it's generally the more oily part of our face. And to be extremely gentle around the eye area to prevent premature ageing. (Protip: 'Miyavi' - keep your eyes closed, looool.)
• Again, with lukewarm or cool water, rinse off until there is no more residue left. (Note: you may not be able to remove all the residue, this varies with each cleanser. Toner can be then used to remove it).
• Pat dry with a clean towel. Try not to rub as that aggravates the skin as it can cause it to become red or irritated.

And there we go, basic tutorial on how to wash your face - or at least, how I wash mine.
